EVERY NUMBER STARTS WITH YOURS

ChairScale calculators take inputs only a barber can supply: price per service, services per day, days worked, service duration, costs, booth rent, rebooking rate. Nothing is pre-filled from an outside data source. Change one input and every figure on the page recalculates from that input alone.

WE DO NOT PUBLISH INDUSTRY STATISTICS

You will not find 'the average barber earns X' anywhere on ChairScale. Those figures circulate online with no verifiable source, and a barber cannot make a pricing decision on a number that may be a decade old or from another country. Where an example is needed to show a formula, it is labelled as an example, not as data.

THE CHAIRSCALE BARBER INDEX

ChairScale is building anonymized aggregate benchmarks from real member inputs — price, average ticket, clients per week, revenue per hour, chair utilization, rebooking rate, annual revenue and service duration, grouped by country, state, metro and experience level. No segment is published until it clears a minimum sample size, and no individual's numbers are ever shown or identifiable. Until then, nothing is published at all.

ESTIMATES ARE LABELLED AS ESTIMATES

A calculated projection is a projection. ChairScale marks calculated output separately from anything verified, states the assumption behind it, and shows the formula so you can check the work yourself.

ChairScale provides business information and planning tools for barbers and shop owners. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it does not guarantee any income or business result. Decisions about your pricing, rent, contracts and taxes remain yours — talk to a qualified professional before acting on anything with legal or tax consequences.

ROUNDING AND UNITS

Money is shown in whole dollars unless a cent-level figure matters to the decision. Time is handled in minutes so appointment lengths stay exact. Percentages are rounded for display but full precision is carried through every calculation.
